Biohacking

Evidence-based research. Self-directed physiology.

Biohacking is the disciplined use of quantifiable interventions — sleep architecture, nutrition, fasting, thermal stress, structured exercise, and carefully selected research compounds — to measure and modulate how the body behaves. We document the evidence base, not the protocols.

Where biohacking fits in the literature

“Biohacking” is a popular term with a thin academic footprint. Most of what gets called biohacking in social-media discourse overlaps with established exercise physiology, sleep medicine, metabolic research, and chronobiology — disciplines with deep, well-cited literature.
Immortal Peps sits within this broader toolkit as the peptide-research layer, covering the mechanisms and evidence base for compounds studied across recovery, cognition, metabolism, and hormonal signalling. Where biohacking literature cites a primary study, we link it. Where the claim has no source, we say so.

Categories

We organise biohacking research into five intersecting areas:

Peptide research

— short-chain amino-acid compounds studied for targeted signalling across tissue repair, GH release, immune modulation, and neuroprotection. The layer most biohackers adopt last, and the area where the regulatory and evidentiary landscape is most uneven.

Metabolic optimisation

— glucose regulation, insulin sensitivity, time-restricted eating, and mitochondrial efficiency. The metabolic substrate that underlies energy, body composition, and healthspan.

Cognitive enhancement

— nootropic research, neuropeptides, working memory, and attention. The literature on compounds studied for cognitive performance — from Semax and Selank to cholinergic modulators.

Recovery & repair

— tissue regeneration, sleep architecture, and the cellular repair mechanisms that determine how quickly the body returns to baseline after physiological stress.

Hormonal health

— the HPG and HPA axes, growth hormone pulsatility, thyroid regulation, and the endocrine feedback loops that shape everything from body composition to mood.
